Lake Pend Oreille, the largest lake in the state of Idaho, and the 5th deepest in the United States, with over 200 miles of shoreline, is a naturalist's dream. Bordered on the east side by national forest, Pend Oreille is not overrun by lake cabins and motorboats, offering a pleasant recreational and scenic environment. A great place to fish for Kokanee salmon, Pend Oreille is also famous for its record-size Kamloops trout.
The town of Bayview (population 276) is complete with good restaurants and a small grocery store. For shopping, the city of Coeur d'Alene is just 28 miles to the south.
Right next to Bayview lies Farragut State Park - an extensive (4,000 acres) natural recreational facility, with a beach area, and several hiking trails, as well as facilities for large gatherings. You can enter the trail network right from Bayview.
The Bayview Condo is set up to make your stay a pleasant one and leave you with a memorable experience. Linens, kitchen appliances, cookware and other necessities are provided, as well as a washer and dryer, dishwasher and microwave oven. No cable service is provided. If you simply must hook up to the Internet, drop on in to Ralph's Coffee House and Internet Cafe.
If you are not from this area, you might also want to schedule some time to visit nearby Silverwood Theme Park, which hosts over 65 rides, shows and attractions, including four roller coasters, the Boulder Beach Water Park, a steam engine train, live entertainment, restaurants, and more.
